Dusty - I unpacked my old turntable a while back and spun some vinyl. The trouble is that new receivers are not configured for vinyl, and so I have to run out a buy a phono pre-amp. Without it, one has to crank the volume up as high as it will go and the music is still very quiet. This photo's Flickr Page (with comments).
