Memorial - This is the war memorial at the base of Soldiers' Tower at the University of Toronto. I shot this at night about 12 years ago with my old Minolta XG-M and some fast Konica film, rated at ISO 1600, I think. Obviously, there is quite a lot of noise in this photo. This photo's Flickr Page.

R 41 - I keep seeing those ads warning people not to enter fenced areas near railways lines. I would stay out, if it weren't for the enormous holes in the fences. On the day of this photo, I encountered a homeless fellow all set up in some sort of primitive tent next to the tracks. I guess he really wasn't homeless after all. Name This Bird - Thanks to the Bird Identification Group on Flickr, I know that this is a juvenile American Robin. It fell into my backyard a while back. It was clearly injured and allowed me to get up close with a 50mm lens, but then it sort of flew away awkwardly, and I lost track of it. This photo's Flickr Page (with comments). In other news, this is the last day of my vacation, which - unlikely as it sounds - may mean more regular updates.
